First of all, the most basic consideration for the choice of water meter size is the diameter of the pipe in which the pipe is installed. Generally, the small-diameter water meter can be directly arranged according to the nominal diameter of the pipe. However, under the same diameter, the prepaid water meter has a large shape due to its complicated structure. The joint pipe fittings should be replaced according to the pipe spacing; the size of the large-diameter water meter should be determined according to the flow velocity of the pipe and the flow rate of the commonly used flow to avoid damage to the water meter caused by excessive load. (The same type of hot water meter and cold water meter are the same size)
Secondly, the installation of the water meter should be carried out in accordance with the water meter installation standard stipulated in GB/T778.2-2007 national standard: 1. Before installing the water meter, thoroughly clean the impurities, sediment, etc. in the newly installed pipeline to ensure that the water meter is in use. In the process, the water meter movement will not be damaged due to excessive impurities, and the service life will be affected. 2. To ensure the accuracy of the water meter measurement, the length of the straight pipe section of the water meter before and after the water outlet end should be greater than 5 times the nominal diameter; 3. The water meter should be installed horizontally, keep the dial up, and the water flow direction of the water meter should be consistent with the water flow of the pipeline. It is forbidden to flip, armor and obliquely install, which affects the metering of the water meter.
