How many years should China's water meters be replaced? Is there any relevant standard

Dec 30, 2019

Some family water meters haven't been changed for more than ten years, and even think why let's change them if they haven't been used for several years. So how long does the water meter last. Is there any relevant regulation? Do you want to change it on your own initiative, or do you need to change it when the property is changed?

With the relevant problems of water meters, some relevant regulations have been turned over, and it is concluded that China's water meters have these relevant regulations: according to the provisions of the Technical Supervision Bureau's volume [1991] No. 374 document, the service life of domestic water meters with a diameter of dn15-25 shall be 6 years, and the service life of those with a diameter of dn32-50 shall not exceed 4 years, with a diameter larger than

DN50 water meters shall not be more than 2 years old and shall be rotated when they are due, that is to say, the long service life of common caliber water meters for civil use is 6 years. Similarly, the measurement Law of the people's Republic of China also stipulates that the water meter in the household of the residents is the water meter with the surface diameter of DN25 or below, which should be changed once every six years. The service life of the water meter is longer than that of the water meter  Because of the scale and the wear of the internal parts of the water meter, the sensitivity of the water meter decreases, which results in the inaccurate measurement of the water meter, the accuracy of the water meter cannot be guaranteed, and the economic loss to the management department is brought.
